The conceptual approach was to develop a new classic space in Montreal, a lively and contemporary environment, a sophisticated and glamorous atmosphere, reminiscent of the Art Deco period.

In terms of materials the designers valued the existing architecture of the space, particularly the L-shaped feature of the former IBM building. The goal was to create long sightlines throughout, complimented by an easy-flowing space where individuals can easily circulate from restaurant to bar and lounge to staircases and personal rest areas.
